華新醫材鄭永柱董事長表示，前陣子受到大陸霾害影響，空氣污染嚴重，口罩需求大增，生產線本來就很忙碌，現在又因為韓國的MERS疫情失控，韓國民眾人心惶惶，急著購買口罩預防，故公司整體口罩訂單量提高3成左右，生產線產量月平均達1千萬片。提醒民眾N95口罩因為密合度高、呼吸阻抗高約三倍，適合第一線防疫醫療人員或工業環境使用，而孕婦及氣喘病患並不適合使用。
